Mirror Dance

This digital design is inspired by Polish peasant harvest traditions and Południca, Lady Midday.

She appears as an old woman, a beautiful young woman, or a 12-year-old girl, and can also take the shape of a dust cloud.

In some stories, she invites young girls who’ve fallen asleep in the fields to dance—from noon til evening.

The costume design is inspired by traditional Polish folk costumes sourced from Polski Haft Ludowy by Jadwiga Turska.
